For patients and busy staff members in the hospital, taking a brief pause for a little self-care to have their hair cut can be a positive moment in the day. Some of patients in the National Spinal Injuries Centre can be in the hospital for prolonged periods and this service is able to provide patients with dignity, an escape from clinical settings and somebody with a focus outside of clinical care to have a conversation with. At Salon Oasis, our customers come to us for affordable rejuvenation and feel-good, self-care services.

Our Mission
We aim to enhance the quality of healthcare services and patient experiences within the Buckinghamshire community with accessible, reliable and personalised healthcare solutions.
Our Vision
We envision a healthier Buckinghamshire, where everyone receives exceptional healthcare services and support. Through our pharmacies and retail stores strategically located within Stoke Mandeville, Wycombe and Amersham hospitals, we aim to be the first choice for patients, healthcare professionals and the wider community.
Environmental and Social Impact
As a registered Social Enterprise, Buckinghamshire Healthcare Projects Limited (BHPL) is committed to our social and environmental purpose in advancing healthcare, pharmaceutical and hospital retail enterprises within Buckinghamshire and the surrounding regions. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, we align our environmental goals to that of the NHS roadmap ‘Delivering a Net Zero National Health Service’ and a local ‘Trust Net zero carbon roadmap’ whilst developing to meet the preventative, acute and chronic healthcare demands of our community.
Moving towards to digital and community solutions for patient care
Digitalisation has a significant opportunity to assist with the drive towards net zero within the hospital estate and enhance patient experience. Digitally enabled care models and channels for patients will significantly reduce travel and journeys, whilst the support of front-line digitisation of clinical records, workflow and communications will help to deliver a more efficient healthcare service.
At BHPL, we are looking to implement more sustainable models of care from Buckinghamshire Private Healthcare including, care closer to home and in community settings, empowering people to have more control over their health; digitally enabling primary and outpatient care; and increasing the focus on population health. Optimising the location of care ensures that patients interact with the service in the most efficient place, which may be closer to, or even in, their home to enhance patient experience.
